June 2014 I was on vacation together with my wife and daughter near the city of Sandwich in Kent, England. Somewhere we took a wrong turn with the car and ended up on some of the best country roads for photography. This ribbon of purple flowers struck my eye while flowing over the fields near the road. I think they are thistles but I’m not sure and I’m not a connoisseur of flowers. Do you know what they are? Please let me know.
