In my opinion, almost every well done butterfly photo is a lucky one. When you approach them every shiver in the ground, plants or air makes them fly away. One has to move very carefully. Luckily the sun was getting hotter that morning and was warming up the stones one the ground. I saw that the butterfly preferred the warm stones.
After chasing down the butterfly over a farmroad it finally set down. I was able to come near it as close as approximately 10 centimeters. Close enough to take a sharp photo of the head with those remarkable dotted eyes.
